Experience
Prior to establishing Prosperity Advisers, Allan co-founded Sneddon McKeown Chartered Accountants in 1989 and was appointed to the role of Managing Partner in 1991.
Allan was appointed as Chief Executive of Prosperity Advisers Pty Limited in 2002.
In 2005 Allan expanded the Newcastle based company, when he established Prosperitys Brisbane office and again in 2006 when Prosperity merged its Sydney office with Agoston Douglas Partners. Allan has been instrumental in Prosperitys strong growth, with turnover tripling since 2002. Staff numbers have also more than doubled, currently at 150.
Allan has over 20 years experience providing corporate assurance, business advisory and taxation advice and services to a range of business clients. Allans career started with global accounting firm Ernst & Young, where he gained international experience through secondments to Canada and New Zealand.
He regularly presents at international conferences and took a lead role in the establishment of memberships with international alliances, such as Leading Edge Alliance and International Association of Practising Accountants.
Allan also plays an active role in supporting the community through sponsorship, pro-bono services, board/committee representation and participation in community events.
Asset Magazine has rated Allan as one of Australia's "Magnificent 7" Financial Advisers. He is a former regional media spokesman for the institute of Chartered Accountants, writes occasional columns on business advice and has been interviewed on business matters by television and radio.
